Swamp Thing's been hanging around the fringes of the DC Universe since the early 70s, although as I may have mentioned before, his roots go back somewhat further.
Poor old Swampy's stumbled from one poor-selling title to the next, as DC tries desperately to recapture the lightning in a bottle which it briefly managed to obtain back in the 80s. So far, no dice, but, give 'em credit, the Powers-What-Be at DC continue to churn out new series every couple of years, just in case.

I'd heard good things about Swamp Thing and even seen it as a 'Recommended Choice' in a few shops. You don't sound so sure about it...
